Puerto Vallarta is another wonderful town that is located south of Cabo San Lucas on the Pacific side of Mexico, more specifically in the Bay of Banderas.

Puerto Vallarta has three main districts as well: Nuevo Vallarta, Marina Vallarta, and the downtown area. If you are looking for a more off-beat location, st ay in the Nuevo Vallarta area. Here, you will find mostly all-inclusive hotels and if you would like to go into town, you are about a 20 minute bus or cab ride away. Marina Vallarta is north of the downtown area. The downtown area itself is full of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Expect the same that you would find in any Mexican town, with hotels lining the beach. If you do make it to the downtown area, visit PiPi’s for lunch or dinner. It is a fantastic restaurant with a variety of margarita flavors, a mariachi band that plays throughout the restaurant and fresh guacamole prepared at your table.
