As many of you know, there are three major ways to see the world; 1) By Boat, 2) On Your Own Land Tour, and 3) On an Escorted Land Tour.  Each of these vacation styles have their own benefits, so take some time to think about what you are looking for in your next vacation and we’ll, of course, work with you to make that dream a reality.

Cruising: Probably the most popular way to travel, large ship cruises cater to travelers who are interested in major ports all over the world.  Larger ship cruises are fantastic ways  to visit an area that you’ve never been to, to decide if there are areas that you’d like to return to.  Plus, you can do it with all the entertainment options that come on a large cruise ship.  If you’ve been there and done that, smaller yacht cruises and river cruises give you the option of more personalized service, smaller ports, and more exclusive experiences, like private wine tastings and tours at local vineyards.

Land Tours: This type of vacation can come in many forms, depending on the destination, but in its simplest form, a land tour encompasses a packaged vacation.  Air, transfers and resort in Mexico or the Caribbean or a packaged itinerary in Hawaii.  A land tour is perfect for travelers who want the structure of their vacations planned, but want to leave the details open.  They want to stay in a villa/hotel/resort, be given a few ideas, but plan the day-to-day activities on their own.  Where you may want to take a land tour may depend on the travelers sense of adventure.

Escorted Tours: This type of vacation is popular overseas, but is also becoming more popular in the states.  An escorted tour has more structure than a general land tour, as it comes with a detailed itinerary.  Not only are your hotels and some meals planned, the majority of what you see and do will be done with a guide, specially trained in that destination.  Typically, in each destination, you will have time and some meals on your own, but the major attractions in the area will be seen with a guide.  The guide is very beneficial, as they provide you with a great deal of education and background information.  They are available for questions and can lead you in the right direction when you have time on your own.  They are also your liaison during the trip should you have any issues.
